Aiko Kinoshita, LMT
Independent Practitioner
A Licensed Massage Therapist since 2015, Aiko came to massage after 25 years of working with bodies in motion; as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Still dancing, albeit at a much slower pace, and now a mother of two young children, Aiko is deeply interested in the intersection of massage, movement and somatic practices and the connections between dis-comfort, dysfunction and our habits of daily life. She specializes in full-body wellness massage, blending Swedish and deep tissue work to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, increase range of motion and reduce pain. Aiko works slowly and patiently, listening and taking cues from the body and integrating her intuitive sensibility around movement, touch, and muscular tone, to create space for awareness and change. Utilizing both passive and active techniques, a session might include gentle calming strokes, Manual Ligament Therapy, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy techniques, assisted stretches, and more, depending on the client’s preferences and needs. Aiko enjoys working with her clients at their comfort level and is honored to be part of their wellness routine.
